I dreamt of a place called Blackberry Bank and of a little field mouse called Thimble. Later the very same day I was planting a new flower bed and dug up a silver thimble, the main character in the story. I took this is a sign and started the snail mail club. Thimble and her friends were born and now Blackberry Bank lives within me, in my head and in my heart.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis tale is a story I would have adored as a child. My grandfather’s lap would be waiting, and he’d say, “not that one again!” as I bought him a book to read to me. I loved him reading to me and often would bring the same story to him, never tiring of the love he gave me through reading the stories to me.
